East Cape Manuka (Leptospermum scoparium) oil has been proven in scientific studies to be the most effective of all Manuka and Tea Tree oils in controlling a broad spectrum of gram positive bacteria, fungi and external parasites, common amongst cats and dogs.

Manuka oil has been used to successfully treat similar conditions in humans for many years and is also highly effective for cats and dogs.

Manuka oil is produced by steam distillation of leaf material from plants grown in the wild in the remote East Cape region of New Zealand. The plants are not sprayed with chemicals or stimulated by artificial fertilizers, and are not subjected to industrial pollution.

Anti-microbial effectiveness is due to the Triketone compounds contained in East Cape Manuka oil which are up to 30 times more effective against gram positive bacteria than Australian Tea Tree oil.

100% pure Manuka oil should not be used undiluted on your pet’s skin, diluted forms of this oil are recommended for fungal or bacterial infection and to prevent external parasite infestations.

We recommend adding 10 - 15 drops of Pure Manuka oil to one cup of warm water, poured down the centre of your dogs back and around the ears, after the final rinse following shampooing to give long lasting repellency against fleas, scabies and mange, and to protect against fungal infection like ringworm.
